Making sure innovative start-up ideas to not go belly-up
We have opened the Freischwimmer start-up innovation center in Ludwigshafen!
On 13 June 2017, one of the hottest locations for young start-ups celebrated its great opening event where Helmut Kohl used to sweat in the sauna: in the former Hallenbad Nord (public bath) of the city of Ludwigshafen. Last year, this listed building from 1956 was rebuilt into our unique Freischwimmer start-up innovation center by TWL Ludwigshafen and specially designed to meet the particular needs of start-ups. Countless beautiful architectural details, the unique atmosphere as well as the fascinating charm of a public bath have been preserved.
On 1,800 square meters in this listed building we now have lots of room for new, creative ideas by young enterprises in the areas of energy & water, mobility as well as future city & digital city solutions. In addition to flexible co-working spaces with up to 100 workplaces as well as a beginners‘ pool rebuilt into a place for presentations, Freischwimmer also offers various different mentor programs to further develop the start-up ideas until they are ready for the market.
“I love this wonderful building – and I am looking forward to watching the brilliant business ideas of young and enthusiastic people grow in this unique location.” says Dr. Hans-Heinrich Kleuker, commercial director of TWL, at the great opening event with numerous guests from politics and business.
In our opinion there is nothing to add to this. Except perhaps that there were some first live pitches for the highly sought-after Freischwimmer places at the opening event. So if you want to get your idea started with us, it might be best to apply right now directly via our website.
