The Freischwimmer team at Germany’s top start-up events.

If you want to pick up speed you need to know which way the wind blows. This is why our team will attend Germany’s main start-up events in the coming weeks: as speakers, judges or simply to exchange views with other innovators.

Pirates Summit, Cologne

The Pirates Summit in Cologne on 06 and 07 September 2017 is Europe’s largest digital and tech conference for start-ups, venture capitalists and Business Angels – and represents grassroots entrepreneurship. Already for the 6th time, the Pirate Summit crew ensures a unique, inspiring and motivating atmosphere for 2 days with over 1,200 carefully chosen attendees.

This year, Freischwimmer is represented as well. During the walk the plank pitches where the best 80+ international start-ups present their businesses in 3 minutes, our executive directors Sabine Rudolph and Stephanie Henn will present the Freischwimmer offer to those who are interested. Furthermore, at the Pirates Summit, we are also represented in the jury by Dr.-Ing. Hans Heinrich Kleuker, director of TWL, and Sabine Rudolph from Freischwimmer. We will soon share the new input we brought back from the Pirates Summit.

Start-up Night! Municipal Economy, Berlin

Another crucial event for us is the “Start-up Night!” of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) on 11 September 2017 in Berlin. Here, founders are given the opportunity to network with well-established enterprises and players in the municipal economy and present their diverse ideas in the field of digital city solutions. In addition to an information stand showcasing the Freischwimmer offer, we are also directly involved in the important pitches: Dr.-Ing. Hans Heinrich Kleuker will also be in the “Start-up Night!” jury and thus co-responsible for selecting the most sustainable and feasible ideas.

Bits & Pretzels, Munich

Bits & Pretzels is a 3 day start-up festival attracting innovators from all over the world and connecting start-ups with speakers and mentors. From 24 to 26 September 2019 we will mingle with the numerous exciting players to gain as many new impressions as possible of speakers like Stefan Raab, Philipp Lahm, Andy Cunningham (formerly Apple, Pixar and NExT), Klaus Hommels (investor with AirBnB, Facebook, Freenet, King.com, Skype, Klarna, Xing and Spotify), Rolf Schrömgens (Trivago), Dr. Werner Vogels (Amazon), Kevin Novak (Uber) and Ralf Wenzel (Foodpanda, Delivery Hero).

In one of our next blog posts we will definitely share our experiences at these festivals.

See you in Cologne, Berlin or Munich!
